SolSub Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SolSub — the mobile app, the web app, and our optional hosted services (together, "SolSub" or "the Services"). By installing or using any of them, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1. What SolSub Is

SolSub is self-custodial software for creating, viewing, and managing subscriptions and allowances built on the Solana Subscriptions & Allowances on-chain program ("the Program"). SolSub reads public blockchain data and builds transactions that you review and sign in your own wallet. The Program is public and permissionless; you can use it directly without us, with your own or third-party tools.

SolSub is nota wallet, custodian, exchange, payment processor, or money transmitter. We never hold your funds, private keys, or seed phrase, and we never touch, control, or redirect your funds. You authorize every charge on-chain, you decide whether automatic collection is on or off, and your money moves to the merchant's own wallet — not through us (see Section 5).

2. Self-Custody and Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your wallet, your keys, and every transaction you sign. Before approving any transaction in your wallet, review what it does. A signed and confirmed Solana transaction is permanent and irreversible — neither you nor we can undo it.

3. The On-Chain Program

The Program is deployed on the Solana blockchain and is not operated or controlled by us. By creating or holding a subscription or allowance, you delegate authority to addresses designated by the merchant ("pullers") to withdraw tokens from your wallet up to the limits defined on-chain. You should understand the mechanics before subscribing, including:

4. Direct Use vs. Our Infrastructure

Using SolSub does not require using our servers. Reading the Program and building, signing, and submitting your own transactions happens through your wallet and the blockchain. We provide hosted services only for the two things the base Program cannot do itself — recurring collection (a "crank") and indexing the shared Program into a per-merchant history — and these are optional and self-hostable with our open-source code.

5. Optional Hosted Services (Auto-Collection, Indexing, Webhooks)

A merchant may opt in, per plan, to our hosted services.

(a) Auto-collection / the crank.You are in full control: you authorize the charge on-chain, you turn auto-charge on or off, and the funds go to the merchant's own wallet. When a merchant enables auto-charge, the merchant adds a SolSub-operated "puller" key to that plan's on-chain puller list. Our server then submits the recurring charges that the subscriber has already authorized on-chain. This key can only:

It never holds, receives, controls, or redirects funds, and it cannot move anything the subscriber has not already authorized on-chain. The merchant can remove the puller at any time, and subscribers can cancel or revoke at any time.

(b) Indexing, event history, and webhooks.We index on-chain events for a merchant's plans and can deliver them to merchant-registered webhook endpoints. This data is derived entirely from the public blockchain. The merchant owns the customer relationship and any data they pull from these services; SolSub provides the tooling.

6. Fees and the SolSub Subscription

The mobile app and direct, self-signed use of the Program are free. Our hosted services (auto-collection, webhook delivery, event history) may require an active SolSub subscription, which is itself a subscription to a SolSub-owned plan on the Program, charged on-chain through the same mechanism described in Section 5. If that subscription lapses beyond its grace period, the hosted features may be disabled — but your plans, subscriptions, and on-chain rights are unaffected and remain usable directly or via self-hosting. Because these payments are on-chain token transfers you authorize, they are generally irreversible; we do not operate a separate billing or refund system for the subscription. Pricing is shown in the app at opt-in.

7. Merchants and Third-Party Content

Plans shown in the apps, including those in the curated registry, are created by independent merchants. Names, logos, and descriptions come from metadata controlled by those merchants. Inclusion in the registry is a best-effort curation, notan endorsement, and we do not verify any merchant's identity, legitimacy, or the goods or services they promise. Your relationship with a merchant is solely between you and that merchant. Do your own research before delegating spending authority to anyone.

8. Network and Service Dependencies

The Services depend on third-party infrastructure we do not control, including the Solana network, RPC providers, metadata hosts, and — for the hosted services — database, hosting, and indexing providers. Transactions may fail or be delayed due to network congestion, RPC outages, or rate limits. We do not guarantee the Services will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

9. No Financial or Legal Advice

Nothing in the Services is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. Token values fluctuate, and you assume all risks of using blockchain networks and digital assets.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services for unlawful purposes, to attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Services or the networks they rely on, to register webhook endpoints you do not control or otherwise abuse the hosted services, or to misrepresent plans or merchants to other users.

11. Intellectual Property and Open Source

The SolSub name, branding, and original content belong to the developer. The SolSub source code is made available under its open-source license in the project repository; your use of that code is governed by that license. These Terms govern your use of the hosted Services and the apps, and do not grant you rights to the name or branding beyond using the Services as intended.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE DATA IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE, OR THAT TRANSACTIONS WILL EXECUTE AS EXPECTED.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF TOKENS, FUNDS, PROFITS, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, THE PROGRAM, ANY MERCHANT, OR ANY THIRD-PARTY SERVICE — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100).

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your transactions, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Changes and Termination

We may update the Services or these Terms at any time; the current version will be published at this address with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We may discontinue the Services at any time — because SolSub is self-custodial and its code is open source, your on-chain subscriptions and allowances remain manageable through other tools, or a self-hosted instance, even if our Services are unavailable.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
